Dazzling dresses and head turning fascinators as Matsapha PPP Mobile Clinic hosts a high tea fit for queens… In a bid to try escalating numbers of people who accessed the mobile clinic, Council hosted a High Tea event dubbed “Tea Cups with Character” with our main sponsor being CONCO. This event targeted young women aged between 20 to 24 years, which have been identified as a high-risk population. It has been noted that majority of this target group are unable to access sexual reproductive services thus it seemed vital that focus is diverted to them.
The event took place on Saturday, 30th September 2017 at Emfuleni Life Style starting. Build up campaigns for this event were put in place where the targeted young women were invited to access the mobile clinic services in order to stand a chance of qualifying to attend this event.
We hosted close to 200 ladies, these young women will serve as ambassadors for the mobile clinic on the target population as they would have already accessed the clinic. Our guest of honor Ntokozo “Mastermind” Dlamini a renowned actor from South African Televison drama “Uzalo” had very inspiring words for our ladies and our former CEO Ms. Gciniwe Fakudze was also present as the host for the event.
