Matsapha Town Council through its Local Economic Development activities successfully launched the Matsapha Business Directory at the 2019 Eswatini International Trade Fair. The Matsapha Business Directory is marketing platform for all businesses located in the town of Matsapha. The Business directory allows Matsapha, as a local authority, to assist with stimulating economic growth for businesses.

The business directory is available in hard copy and soft copy, which is uploaded in an electronic platform, the Matsapha Town Council Website. The Matsapha business directory (hard copy) features the following:

  • Business name
  • Business address (physical and postal)
  • Product and service offerings
  • Industry participation

The magazine version launched during the trade fair had a total of 40 companies participating. All the companies that participated were provided with an ideal opportunity to be marketed in an international platform. Going forward the magazine will then be strategically placed in high traffic areas nationally (banks, hotels, lodges, shops, airports, municipalities) and internationally (SADAC region through EU Embassy and EIPA).

With the online version clients will be able to update their business information in real time meaning that if there is a change in trading hours with the introduction of a new service or product the online version will be able to be edited at moment’s notice.

Council would like stakeholders of the town to be investor ready and to actively participate in this new and wonderful platform witch stakeholders may use to grow their market base in a financially friendly manner.

Council will formally introduce these multiple platforms to its stakeholders through a business forum that will be held early next month which will also provide an opportunity for stakeholders to critique and shape these platforms to suit their intended needs. Formal communication will be sent to various stakeholders to inform them of the logistics and agenda of this forum.
