Matsapha Town Council partnered with Eswatini Beverages (AB InBev) by holding a clean-up campaign around its premises in commemoration of World Environment Day, on the 5th of June 2019. The cleaning campaign was also focused on cleaning at the Peri-urban area along MR3 highway adjacent Eswatini Beverages/AB Inbev. MTC could not be more excited to have participated in the Campaign as it is an initiative that contributes towards the conservation of the environment and improving the aesthetics of the country.
Peri-urban areas play the role of being the face of urban settings and of course are a reflection of a country therefore they need to be kept clean without any litter. To ensure this the Council collects litter twice a week from Peri-Urban areas such as the above mentioned and Mathangeni, to name a few. Swaziland Beverages/ AB InBev aiding this initiative has donated and installed 4 public waste bins along MR# near the Bus stop.
Matsapha Town Council continues to make efforts to ensure that the cleanliness is maintained by monitoring every day for any waste collection needs. The council encourages all to take care of the environment by disposing off litter at the right places. Let’s take care of our earth it’s the only one we have.
