Matsapha – As a local authority of the town of Matsapha, entrusted with ensuring compliance and promoting food hygiene & safe operating standards, Council conducted a food grading exercise of 106 food outlets operating in the town. This was a week-long exercise conducted by five qualified and experienced Environmental Health Officers.
The food grading exercise results indicate that 77% of food outlets operating within the town adhere to the Public Health & Food Hygiene regulations.
