Matsapha Town Council has organised a cleaning campaign in collaboration with Kwaluseni Inkhundla and the Eswatini Environment Authority on the 21st December 2018, this coming Friday starting from 0700hrs. This is in preparation for the annual national event, Incwala ceremony and being a festive season , a number of tourists are coming into the country.
The locations that have been identified to be cleaned will be along the below listed routes before the final conversion point at Phocweni. The routes include:
- IDM—-UNESWA—-Kwaluseni Post Office—-kaNdlunganye
- UNESWA—-JC—-Highway—-KaNdlunganye
- Mashayitafula—-Phocweni
- Mathangeni—-Phocweni
The Kwaluseni community is therefore invited to participate and join Matsapha business community and Matsapha municipality staff in this exercise.
As it is well known, the festive season is often marked by high consumption patterns for most people. This results in large volumes of waste generated on a daily basis. Unfortunately waste is usually littered everywhere thereby leaving our surroundings untidy and yet this is also the time when a lot of tourists visit the country more especially because of Incwala. It is therefore crucial that as we spring clean our homes, we should also maintain cleanliness in the environment in which we live. So this festive let’s work on making Matsapha a litter bit better.
